Madrid on October 12, 2010 - Antonio Sainz and Javier Cattaneo (Porsche-Gulf) have obtained in the Historic Rally of Spain his more celebrated and distinguished victory, on having inscribed his names in the record of the championship, as the first Champions of the Cup of Spain of Historic Cars. A competition that the team of Madrid has controlled from the first moment and have finished off in one of the most difficult rounds of the season, obtaining in addition the scratch in all the specials of the rally.
Although from out it could seem that it has been easy, the truth is that it has not been easy. Rallies to the old-style, hard and difficult, with stages of more than twelve hours, that have tested the drivers' reliability and cars; rain, fog and mechanical difficulties that practically were leaving the team in the ditch and that the human team of ASM Motorsport has could to resolve. All this without forgetting drivers as Jesús Ferreiro, Manuel Bobes or Rafael Serratosa, that they have fought up to the last moment and that they have increased the value of the title obtained by the Gulf Historic Team.

After the obtaining and celebration of the title, the team will to take part in the rallies Costa Brava, Vasco-Navarro and Comunidad of Madrid. The first one is to count for European Historic Rally Championship and represents a new opportunity to measure up to the big European specialists of the speciality. This race it will allow to improve the adjustment of the Porsche 911 with a view to the last great appointment of the year of the Gulf Historic Team, the Rally of the Comunidad of Madrid. Between both it will be disputed the Rally Vasco-Navarro, last round of the calendar of the Cup of Spain of Historic Cars, where Sainz and Cattaneo are inscribed again by the Escort.
